The History of UNDONE
UNDONE was founded by designer Michael Young in 2016 with the help of a Kickstarter campaign. It was envisioned as a mid-range brand with luxury preferences, and Young’s distinctive minimalist, streamlined aesthetic was prominently included into the designs.
Michael asked the following question, thinking about the degrees of customization given by car companies and the high-priced and time-consuming procedure of customizing luxury watches:
“What if a new business could provide similar services via a website that allows for client personalization at a lower cost?”
UNDONE highlights a trend that has been sweeping the menswear business for the past decade: personalization and character cost a lot of money, but you don’t want to settle for quick fashion, which won’t last as long as a heritage piece and is meant to look like everything else on the market. UNDONE, on the other hand, adds individuality to the mix without adding a Rolex price tag.
The Quality of UNDONE Watches
All UNDONE timepieces are produced in Hong Kong. UNDONE maintains tight control over its supply chain and can design and build timepieces in-house.
The steel casings are made of durable 316L steel.
Each watch is finished with a Lexan Polycarbonate crystal. UNDONE watches are assembled in-house at their Hong Kong headquarters.
UNDONE Watch Movements
UNDONE is using both quartz and mechanical movements in their timepieces, and both are provided by the dependable Japanese watch company, Seiko.
Takeaway: Are UNDONE Watches Worth the Money?
UNDONE watches are available at a great price point and they’re coming with very dependable movements. Additionally, the UNDONE website created a great user experience for customizing your timepiece.
This is a combination you can’t really beat, therefore our answer is: Yes, UNDONE watches are good purchases!

Aero Collection
The AERO series, with its wide bezel and tiny dial aperture, continues to take design influences from vintage watches. The double-domed Lexan crystal, which has a curved side profile, adds depth without taking away from the vintage flair.
Urban 34 Collection
UNDONE introduced their first collection for women after the successful Urban collection: a smaller and more elegant version. This casing, a contemporary reinterpretation of a classic style, raises the standard for what feminine watches in this price range should provide. The watch oozes individuality with its ivory color, accentuated by blue and red accents, and is inspired by beautiful case and dial styles from the mid-1900s.
