TAG Heuer Carrera was born on the racetracks in 1963 and represents the spirit of endurance and great performance on your wrist.
The TAG Heuer Carrera collection is the sports watch of an energetic achiever who is constantly looking for the next big thing. The watch was the first chronograph particularly intended for professional drivers, and it was created as a homage to the highly dangerous Carrera Panamericana car race.
In this article, we collected watches that resemble the balance of Tag Heuer Carrera’s sporty look and powerful elegance.

Tag Heuer Carrera Affordable Alternatives
Stuhrling Formula i 891
Stainless steel bracelet with a gray dial combo guarantees a sophisticated look, which describes the Stuhrling Formula i 891 perfectly. The brushed steel dial and the pop of orange gives it an additional dynamic, sporty feel. Ready to hop into your car and drive off into the sunset? So are we.
Spinnaker Hull Chronograph - Fumee Black
Spinnaker’s Hull Chronograph Fumee Black watch has an eye-catching cushion shaped case. Adding to the list of features that make this watch unique is the matte black textured dial, giving the watch depth that attracts the eye. It is sporty and stylish mixed with the perfect amount of vintage. The case diameter is 42 mm, making it a good fit for most wrist sizes.
Not surprisingly, Citizen excels at serving both looks and value. First of all, it uses Eco-Drive technology, so the movement is powered by light (any light), eliminating the need for a battery change. Additionally, we love the classic racing watch look of the Brycen: breathable brown leather strap, blue bezel and dial with a pop of orange for a sporty look. An excellent, classic choice.
The Seiko SSB031’s three subdials and tachymeter bezel are so similar to the Speedmaster that anybody who see it will immediately compare and contrast the two watches. Although the Seiko SSB031 lacks the Speedmaster’s degree of craftsmanship and attention to detail, this is to be expected given that the former is far less expensive.
However, don’t mistake the Seiko SSB031 for just a Speedmaster homage. This Seiko model has its own personality and look. A great Omega Speedmaster alternative, and given it’s a Seiko watch, you can expect great quality fromm the watch.

Victorinox FieldForce Classic Chrono
Victorinox watches are known to be not just reliable, but beautifully and tastefully designed timepieces– the FieldForce Classic Chrono is no exception. A sophisticated, monochromatic dial is paired with a simple black leather band. Bringing a serious and masculine feel, the dial is perfectly balanced with the 3 subdials symmetrically placed and the calendar window at 6 o’clock position. This is a classic timepiece that will be proudly worn by generations to come.

Victorinox Alliance Sport
The Victorinox Alliance Sport watch is a stylish chronograph wristwatch fashioned of high-grade stainless steel. This is marketed as a sports watch that is ideal for anything and everything you can think of: cycling, trail adventures, you name it.
This timepiece is a very popular quartz model – and we couldn’t agree more: a beautiful classic design with a modern touch. The 44mm gunmetal black casing, readable markings, and a scratch-resistant, anti-reflective sapphire crystal are just a few of the highlights. Water resistant up to 100 meters – and this is where we couldn’t pick a winner:
- Are you around water frequently? Go with the stainless steel model.
- Are you more of an inland guy? The leather band version could be a great option for you!

Tissot PRS 516 Chronograph
The tachymeter on the bezel looks and feels similar to the Image Speedmaster, however, the bigger numerics on the dial is a big differentiator – giving the Tissot PRS 516 Chronograph a serious racing watch look.
The use of ceramic material, which Tissot is recognized for, is one of the features that distinguishes this watch – it will not oxidize over time. The watch boasts hypoallergenic qualities in addition to being able to preserve its shine.

Baume et Mercier Capeland
Our next contender comes from Baume et Mercier, more specifically from their known and loved Capeland collection. As opposed to being on the bezel, the tachymeter is placed right on the dial, giving this watch a sleek, sophisticated look. The case diameter is 42 mm, ensuring comfortable wear for most wrist sizes. As an added and very much appreciated bonus, this Capeland has a skeleton case back, giving us a sneak peek into the inner workings of the Baume et Mercier’s in-house automatic movement. Definitely one of our favorite picks.
