TAG Heuer Carrera was born on the racetracks in 1963 and represents the spirit of endurance and great performance on your wrist.
The TAG Heuer Carrera collection is the sports watch of an energetic achiever who is constantly looking for the next big thing. The watch was the first chronograph particularly intended for professional drivers, and it was created as a homage to the highly dangerous Carrera Panamericana car race.

In this article, we collected watches that resemble the balance of Tag Heuer Carrera’s sporty look and powerful elegance.

Citizen Brycen
Specs:
- Movement: Eco-Drive
- Caliber: B612
- Case Width: 44 mm
- Lig Distance: 22 mm
- Price: Under $300
Not surprisingly, Citizen excels at serving both looks and value. First of all, it uses Eco-Drive technology, so the movement is powered by light (any light), eliminating the need for a battery change. Additionally, we love the classic racing watch look of the Brycen: breathable brown leather strap, blue bezel and dial with a pop of orange for a sporty look. An excellent, classic choice.
Seiko SSB031
Specs:
- Movement: Quartz
- Case Width: 40 mm
- Lug Distance: 20 mm
- Water Resistance: 100 m
- Price: Around $200
The Seiko SSB031’s three subdials and tachymeter bezel are so similar to the Speedmaster that anybody who see it will immediately compare and contrast the two watches. Although the Seiko SSB031 lacks the Speedmaster’s degree of craftsmanship and attention to detail, this is to be expected given that the former is far less expensive.
However, don’t mistake the Seiko SSB031 for just a Speedmaster homage. This Seiko model has its own personality and look. A great Omega Speedmaster alternative, and given it’s a Seiko watch, you can expect great quality fromm the watch.

This timepiece is a very popular quartz model – and we couldn’t agree more: a beautiful classic design with a modern touch. The 44mm gunmetal black casing, readable markings, and a scratch-resistant, anti-reflective sapphire crystal are just a few of the highlights. Water resistant up to 100 meters – and this is where we couldn’t pick a winner:
- Are you around water frequently? Go with the stainless steel model.
- Are you more of an inland guy? The leather band version could be a great option for you!
